Roscommon lamb festival is on this weekend.
What has this got to do with you, you ask?
I was thinking the same thing. Even when Aileen told me she would be teaching upcycling classes at the festival for Sheared, I was still thinking the same thing. Actually I wasn’t thinking anything, because of course this has nothing to do with me at all…of course.
Why then was I up till all hours last night cutting old wool jumpers into various shapes for her classes today?
The kitchen was littered with bits of old jumpers, curtains, duvets, and lots of varieties of old buttons last night, the majority of which are still there today. She’ll kill me when she gets home.
By all accounts the classes went very well and everyone had good craic today and learned a bit about upcycling to go with it.
